The informative bit; For those of you that like a bit more body in your white wine, Viognier makes for a more voluptuous wine, matching richer food. Viognier is traditionally found in the Northern Rhone valley but is making some excellent headway in Chile’s cooler, coastal areas such as . Family owned Vina Casa Silva owns the oldest wine cellar in Chile yet embraces modern winemaking techniques and sustainable farming on some of Colghagua’s best terroirs. Grapes have been handpicked and 10% of the wine has been oaked for 3 months to give the wine further depth.
Tasting notes; A sweet and smokey nose but crisp and dry with deliciously balanced acidity, great body, nectarine and honeysuckle.
Drinking hints and tips: Drink chilled
Enjoy me with: Creamy, rich or boldly flavoured dishes such as Crab Linguine, Risotto, Fish Pie, Chicken Biryani or Chinese takeaway.
