Autumn 2016 Wine Tasting comes to Maidenhead this October.
Perfect Friday Wine presents its 3rd Annual Autumn Wine Tasting Fair this October and at last, it’ll be held actually in Maidenhead. After searching high and low, just a few minutes walk from the mainline railway station, I’ve found the perfect venue in The Council Chamber at Maidenhead’s Town Hall. With just the right amount of wood panelling for my liking and views of the street below, the Chamber promises to be a most suitable Wine Tasting venue in Maidenhead.
With over 40 wines to taste, talk and mingle over during the course of an afternoon, the walk-around tasting is more akin to a Wine Festival and welcomes many of the Perfect Friday Wine suppliers, including some of the UK’s top London-based wine importers and award winning wine agencies.
As always, the purpose of Perfect Friday Wine is to find wines that not only offer good value (i.e. well worth their price) but also wines that you may not find easily elsewhere (or certainly nearby), with the aim to introduce you to new grape varieties, new wine regions and new wine producing countries as well as a selection of sustainable and Organically produced wines.
The wines from over 8 countries, will all have been expertly selected by me (Perfect Friday Wine Chief Taster, Jo), all with the weekend in mind. Whether you’re a seasoned Perfect Friday Wine customer or new to Maidenhead’s own online/ pop-up wine merchant, this is your chance to taste new vintages of PFW classics plus new wines added during 2016 and brand spanking new wines introduced for Autumn 2016. For example, think Austrian Gruner Veltliner and Zweigelt, the freshest, most delicious Vin Pays d’Oc 100% Cinsault, classic Cahors (Malbec but not as you know it) and wines from top New World producers. Since there is a whole host of London Trade tastings between now and then, where I hope to pick out a few more exciting finds, more will be announced nearer the time.
So, if you fancy a little bit of London-esque wine tasting in the ‘burbs and bit of fun of an autumnal afternoon, this should be right up your street. Trusting that you find a new favourite wine or two, every wine at the tasting will be available to order on the day through Perfect Friday Wine, for local delivery after the event. There will be absolutely no obligation to buy anything but there is a chance to redeem your ticket fee on orders if you do so wish.
Tickets are available to buy here and are limited, so tell your friends and book asap to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing you and helping you find your next Perfect Friday Wine. [More info on last year’s tasting at Marlow’s Assembly Room, here]
